The two-day desert tour from Marrakech to Chegaga dunes departs from your riad at 7 a.m. We’ll drive through the High Atlas Mountains, with their breathtaking scenery and Berber villages, before continuing to Taznakht, where we’ll stop for lunch before going to visit an association of women who make these well-known Berber carpets using a variety of working methods. Before embarking on a camel ride to take in the sunset, you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea as you arrive in the Chegaga desert. We’ll have dinner there and spend the night in the nomad tent or under the stars among the breathtaking sand dunes.
We will return to Marrakech after enjoying a sunrise over the sand dunes and a delicious meal at the camp by driving shortly off-road to the town of Mhamid. The journey continues through the Draa Valley. We will visit the largest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
