At 9 a.m., head for the Toudra Gorge from Ouarzazate. We pass through the palm grove oasis and the kasbah of Skoura, then continue west via the valley of the thousand kasbahs and the valley of the roses to reach the town of Boutghrare and join the kasbah of Ait-Youl. We continue on the route after lunch through the High-Atlas Mountains until we reach the Dades Gorges. Take photos as you walk, because you’ll be joining the valley of Tinghir and its lovely scenery once you leave. Get to the Toudra Gorges. Evening and night in your accommodation in the Toudra Gorges.
Departure for the Merzouga desert, via Erfoud, noted for its fossilized rocks; we will travel through Rissani, the historical capital of the Tafilalet region, and continue along the track towards the vast desert of Merzouga. The camels will be ready when you get at to the desert. We ride camels for 1 hour and 30 minutes in the sand dunes, followed by sunset, desert mint tea, dinner, entertainment, and a night in our luxury desert camp.
After breakfast, depart from Merzouga desert to Ouarzazate, passing through stunning desert and mountainous landscapes, oases, and kasbahs to the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley at 1200 km, passing through the Berber villages of N’kob and Tansikht, lunch at N’kob. We discover the main road of the Draa valley, which we take up to the village of Agdz, as well as a small road for a few kilometers, passing through ocher-earth villages and small family gardens under palm trees, after an afternoon descent towards the green Draa valley.
Before arriving in Agdz, we will spend some time in the anti-atlas mountains, which have surprising rocky and arid landscapes, we will make panorama stops on the canyons, and we will spend the night in Agdez.
After breakfast, we proceed up the valley to Afraa, pausing at Tamgroute to see the Koranic library, the underground kasbah, and the pottery industry. Finally, we shall continue our journey to the desert. Arrival at Mhamid, followed by lunch. The camels will be waiting for us. A walk to the desert’s main entrance, then we get in a 4×4 vehicle to Chigaga’s sand beach to watch the sunset. You can pull over on the side of the road to enjoy the sacred oasis.

After breakfast, depart for Kasbah ait Benhadou by the track connecting the erg of Chegaga and the dry bed of the Draa, passing by Lake Iriqui, then by Foum Zguid and continuing back to Taznakht, Morocco’s carpet capital. Stop to the carpet cooperative for information on the various types of carpets available in the area. After lunch, we drive to Kasbah Ait Benhadou for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we depart for Ouarzazate, stopping at the Fint oasis for a short walk. Then, after lunch at Fint’s oasis, head to Ouarazazate in the afternoon.
